The
MEW IMPACT mill is a versatile grinding unit of heavy and rugged
construction, and built for continuous operation day after day.
The unit is especially designed for the fine and microfine grinding
of relatively soft nonabrasive minerals and many manufactured
products.

Versatile
in Application
The
IMPACT Mills meet most capacity requirements and lend themselves to
a wide degree of adjustment with fineness of the finished products
ranging from about 60 mesh to bulk passing through 300 mesh depending,
to a considerable extent, on the particular material being handled.
Principle
of operation
The
standard pulverizer consists of an encrased main rotor carrying swing
hammers, finest regulator and exhaust fan. Raw material from the feed
hopper enters the roll feeder pockets rotate, spills into the grinding
chamber to be reduced by impact with rotating hammer and sides of
the chamber. The air stream flowing through the pulverizer carries
the ground material towards the outlet, the oversize particles being
rejected by the finest regulators and returned for further grinding.
Classified material is then conveyed through the fan and into the
cyclone for separation from the air system. Clean air is returned
to the inlet of the pulverizer for recirculation. The small quantity
of air entering the feeder with the raw material is usually exhausted
directly to a dust collector with an almost negligible quantity of
dust.
EMKAY

of spices, cattle feed. It can also be used for reduction of size.

The pulverizer is supplied as a self-contained unit as shown in the
view. The main shaft is supported on ball bearings and carries the
rotors disc on which are pivoted the steel Hammers. the main casing
is of a special MS Iron. The special alloy steel hammers are made
reversible so that they can be turned round when the leading face
is worn out. thus securing maximum life from hammer.
- Complete Grinding
Unit combine three perforated screens.
- Finsihed Product.
Depends on the size of the screen.
- The fan attached
to the machine shaft removes the finished product from the Grinding
Chamber and automatically delivers this into the Collector.
- Bearings brackets
are fitted Dust-Proof.
Purpose
:- The "Emkay" hammer
mill is excellent for preliminary size reduction for fine grinding
of soft to medium-hard materials.
Friable

Plaster of Paris, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals etc.

work. basic grinding unit is built for continuous production depending
on necessity. You can select one of the combinations listed in catalogue
performance of the mill to its total efficiency depends largely on
'faciliates' provided to mill such as per mounting feed material discharge
control and removed of ground material.

General
Description
The
EMKAY IMPACT Pulverizer has a
cast iron beater chamber, fan chamber and regulator chamber fitted
with adjustable whizzers for varying the finess of the ground products;
the whole being mounted on a cast iron bedplate.
Renewable
pulverising hammers are mounted on the main shaft of shock resisting
steel which is supported in two dust-tight housing fitted with heavy
duty roller bearings.
The beater chamber
is fitted with renewable liners.
A
Roll Feeder is superimposed on the pulveriser and is operated by means
of a ratchet and pawl mechanism driven through a reduction gear from
the main beater shaft.
In
the beater chamber a pocket is arranged for the purpose of removing
foreign material such as tramp iron which might be unintentionally
introduced with the feed into the pulverizer.
Standard
Equipment
One Cyclone Collector
of MS construction with manhole frame, supporting cleats, and fitted
with flap valve discharge.
One Tublar Dust
Collector with its lower receiving hopper fitted with a butterfly-type
cut-off valve.
One
set of Interconnecting Pipes of locate the Cyclone and Dust Collector.
This piping is M.S. plate construction and supplied complete with
necessary bolts, nuts washers and joining material.
All interconnecting
pipes is supplied with loose flanges to facilitate site erection.
The loose flanges are lighly tack welded on to the pipes for security
in transit.
