Specifications
The Flaker body is fabricated from mild steel thick plate and all moving parts are machined very precisely for assembly. Chilled C.I. Rolls are supported on 170 mm bore bearing and split C. I. housings on all sides with bellevelle push back safty device. On the top, hopper is fitted with Feed Roll with adjustable demper and geared motor drive. A permanent magnet with lever is fitted below feed roll to trap iron particles from feed material. Rolls are sealed from side and barrel surface to keep clean with U.H.M.P.E. (special Engineering Plastic).
Dimension
Flaker machine body is common for 500 MM or 600 MM diameter roll size. It is completely assembled. For export it is housed in steel box for container shipping. Actual dimensions of Flaker Machine :

Rolls and Capacity
These are Chilled Cast Iron alloy rolls having hardness 530 BHN upto 20 MM chill depth fitted with shaft and barrel is mirror finished. The capacity of Flaker machine depends upon feed material size, hardness, free from foreign material and Flake thickness required. Example for soyabean in solvent extraction plant is shown below :

Special Features
- In order to control process of Flaking we have incorporated electro-mechanical devices for trouble free and smooth operation.
- Electronic level sensor in feed hopper .
- Motorised vapour exhaust fan above rolls and feed rolls.
- Electromagnatic cut off lever in case of power failure.
- Permanent magnet with lever below feed roll to protect rolls from iron pieces.
- Hydro-machanical combined system with hydro pump to apply pressure on rolls from 10 kg to 70 kg/cm2 as Flake thickness required.
- UHMPE sealing system for roll side and surface to keep it clean.
- GRINDO-BLOCK for dressing rolls edges.
